Portrait of a Graduate: Recognizing Students Who Exemplify Responsibility!

This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Dulce C!

Dulce, nominated by Ms. Kendall for the trait of Responsibility, demonstrated remarkable maturity and compassion during HOSA committee work. When asked to choose a committee, she did not select based on preference. Instead, she simply asked where she was most needed.

She willingly joined a committee with a student who often works alone, and she spent the entire class collaborating with patience, acceptance, and genuine kindness. Dulce treated her peer as an equal, offering the inclusion and support that the student truly needed. Her actions were inspiring and a powerful example of what responsible leadership looks like.
