This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Izabella L.!

Congratulations to Izabella L., Grade 12, who was nominated by Ms. Royal and Ms. Moku for exemplifying Responsibility, one of our Portrait of a Graduate tenets.

Izabella’s work ethic is unmatched; she recently completed a prestigious lighting design internship with the Emerson Theater Collaborative in Sedona, a role she earned through her immense talent in stage production. Beyond her technical success, Izabella defines responsibility through her academic dedication.

After missing a week for her internship, she spent her weekend at the library, without internet access at home, to ensure her major research essay was submitted on time. Described as kind, charismatic, and a student who makes everyone feel valued, Izabella truly encompasses the entirety of a Portrait of a Graduate.

Her proactive nature has not only paved the way for her own professional success but has also opened doors for future Scorpions to follow in her footsteps.
