This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Lexie B. Lexie stands out in our DE Visual Arts Studio for her incredible collaboration skills. She works side by side with classmates, respecting their ideas while contributing her own creative vision. By listening, sharing, and building together, Lexie helps turn group projects into true team successes.
Communication
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Thomas C. Thomas is an exceptional communicator who consistently fosters meaningful discussion in class. He encourages even hesitant students to join conversations and helps them feel comfortable sharing their ideas. Thomas thinks critically and explains complex concepts with patience and clarity, both in writing and speaking. For example, during an inquiry lab about Earth, he used a model to explain how eclipses work. His thoughtful explanation created an environment where classmates felt confident asking questions and deepened their understanding of the topic.
Critical Thinking
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Miles C. Miles consistently demonstrates the ability to analyze complex concepts in unique and innovative ways. Having challenged himself with high-level physics courses, including Honors and AP, he is quick to think, problem-solve, and approach situations from multiple perspectives. He never hesitates to ask thoughtful questions until he fully understands, showing both curiosity and determination in his pursuit of knowledge.
Integrity
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Chantelle L. Chantelle can always be seen doing the right thing and doing it to a high standard. She always turns in high quality work. She also brings her peers along with her - leading by example. I rely on Telly often to do tasks on her own - finishing a display, watering plants in the greenhouse, to name just a few. She maintains great grades and is kind to everyone.
Responsibility
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Bentley B. Bentley exemplifies responsibility by treating everyone with respect and uplifting his teammates on and off the field. He takes the initiative to communicate regularly and clearly with both peers and staff, showing his commitment to being dependable and accountable every day.
