Congratulations to Jamiya S., Grade 11, who was nominated by Mr. Ruben Carroll as our Student of the Month for exemplifying Collaboration, one of our Portrait of a Graduate tenets, in Science.
Jamiya consistently supports her classmates and was recently seen tutoring three peers through a complex math problem on measuring biodiversity. Her leadership and willingness to help others reflect what it means to be a Desert Edge Scorpion.

This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Jaiden R!
Congratulations to Jaiden R., Grade 12, who was nominated by Ms. Jennifer Cole as our Student of the Month for exemplifying Communication, one of our Portrait of a Graduate tenets.
Through his Professional Internship at Spirit Halloween, Jaiden consistently checked in, reminded his teacher to visit before the store closed, and clearly communicated updates about his employment plans. His responsibility and proactive communication truly set the standard for our seniors.

Samantha actively participates by sharing thoughtful insights, bringing a unique perspective to discussions, and offering deep, high level analysis of our topics. Her critical thinking elevates learning for everyone in the classroom.

This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Valerie R.!
Congratulations to Valerie R., Grade 10, who was nominated by Ms. Autumn McCoy as our Student of the Month for exemplifying Integrity, one of our Portrait of a Graduate tenets.
After being absent for a week, Valerie chose to complete a missed assignment rather than be excused, sharing that it would not be fair to her classmates. Her honesty and commitment to learning make her a true Desert Edge Scorpion.

As a dedicated member of the yearbook staff, Yedith not only completes her work but also takes initiative, including independently updating the classroom calendar each month to help the team stay informed about campus events.
