Robert, known as RJ, exemplifies Critical Thinking by consistently asking questions and pushing himself to fully understand the math concepts he is learning. His perseverance and curiosity drive him to dig deeper and strengthen his understanding, even when the work is challenging. Sunny showed true integrity when she found a wallet filled with gift cards and cash and turned it in to ensure it was returned to its rightful owner. Portrait of a Graduate: Recognizing Students Who Exemplify Responsibility!
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Jeffrey!
Jeffrey exemplifies responsibility by stepping up for others and taking ownership of his learning. From welcoming new classmates and helping them feel at home, to attending RTI when needed and setting meaningful academic goals, Jeffrey consistently leads by example. After setting a reading goal during his SSR conference, he followed through right away and showed up the next day already making progress. Selected by Mrs. Grizzell, Jeffrey truly represents what it means to be a responsible, kind, and committed Scorpion.
