This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Fenyx! Fenyx was nominated by Mr. Ruiz Rivera. He is an outstanding example of critical thinking in action! He communicates his ideas clearly and thoughtfully, enriching class discussions, presentations, and written assignments. By connecting prior knowledge with new insights, Fenyx consistently adds depth and meaning to learning experiences for everyone around him.

This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Valentina! Valentina, nominated by Ms. Moku, is a wonderful example of integrity in action! One morning, she came to class to let her teacher know she had accidentally damaged a book and had already arranged to replace it—an unnecessary but deeply thoughtful gesture. Valentina consistently demonstrates honesty, responsibility, and respect through her actions, from advocating for herself to supporting others and always doing what’s right, even when no one is watching.

From her commitment to FFA and NHS to her dedication on the soccer field and in the classroom, Abby’s balance, work ethic, and joyful spirit make her an inspiring example of success in action.
