Collaboration
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Jonas M! When Ms. Grizzell was absent, Jonas demonstrated true collaboration by stepping up to support his peers. He connected prior learning to a new situation, teaching freshmen what they had missed and ensuring everyone stayed on track despite Wi-Fi issues. His initiative and thoughtfulness positively impacted the whole class.
Communication
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Ayva! Ayva exemplifies strong communication by consistently checking in with her teacher, coordinating interviews, and seeking feedback to improve her work. She clearly shares ideas with both her advisor and classmates, ensuring her yearbook projects are complete and offering support where needed. Her purposeful communication makes her one of the strongest reporters on staff.
Critical Thinking
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Thaireese! Thaireese demonstrates critical thinking by bringing curiosity and innovative ideas into every learning space. His thoughtful, in-depth responses during class discussions show his ability to analyze, apply information, and consider perspectives beyond the surface. He consistently makes learning richer for both himself and his peers.
Integrity
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Amara! Amara exemplifies integrity by combining academic excellence with fairness and teamwork both in the classroom and on the court. She consistently upholds high standards, honors her commitments, and shows courage in leading by example. Her character and choices reflect honesty and responsibility, setting her on the path to becoming a successful future leader.
Responsibility
This month, we celebrate Desert Edge’s very own Jayden B! Jayden demonstrates responsibility through his discipline, commitment, and respect for the strength training process. He approaches every workout with purpose, holding himself accountable and contributing positively to the class environment. His consistency and leadership set the standard for his peers, making him a role model both in effort and character.
